Now, we’ve just launched the ‘Hate Footy Pubs’ iPhone app, which if you hadn’t guessed it is already, is for people that would rather not watch the big games and listen to the vuvuzela over, and over again…

We’re delighted to announce that the first ever Weezat powered iPhone app is now live! Weezat has partnered with Teletext Mobile (part of Associated Northcliffe Digital) to produce a World Cup application that lets you find pubs and bars in London showing all the big games.
The app also lets you predict each of the matches and compete with your friends in a national league and localised league against your mates. You can also filter matches by facility so you can find pubs or bars with pool tables, beer gardens or whatever else you’re looking for.
The app is free to download and available now! There’s also another app coming out very soon so watch this space…

Awarded Time Out bar of the year in 2008, The Loft has quickly established itself as one of London’s premium venues. The Weezat launch weekend will be taking place in Clapham on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd May. We have 12 pubs and bars on board already and will announce those taking part later this month. We’ll be visiting loads of venues over the next 6 weeks in the Clapham area promoting the Weezat service to users and venues alike. In addition to promoting our service, users will be able to take advantage of special promotions and offers from participating pubs and bars in the Clapham area. Feeling left out? Weezat gathering pace on a really steep (flat) hill
Oh yes, Weezat is gathering pace. Some have likened it to that of a snowball rolling down a steep hill, but we just think that’s because it’s been bloody cold recently. And it’s probably a bit flatter than a steep hill. Ok, quite a bit flatter. Ahem.
Anyway, back to the point. We’ve just begun our marketing campaign to get all of the pubs and bars on our website to update their details so if you manage, run or work in a pub or bar in London, we want to hear from you!
We spent many months travelling across London doing our best to add pictures and information to as many pubs & bars as we could, but there’s only so much 3 guys on bicycles can do… or a motorbike in my case.
So, all you have to do is search for your pub or bar on Weezat.com and then drop us an email explaining what facilities you’d like to add to your venue. Take a look at the facilities we offer, pick the ones you’d like to add to your pub or bar, and we’ll update it for you just like that (as Tommy Cooper used to say). And don’t worry, it won’t cost you a thing – we’re nice like that.

With 2010 fast approaching, the Weezat team are gearing up for a busy year ahead. We’ve just recruited a new developer to add some cool features to the site and are now looking for brand ambassadors to help spread the word about Weezat in February and March.
We’ll be recruiting up to 20 individuals for the part-time jobs across London between now and March 2010 so if you’d like to work for us, tell us in less than 200 words why we should hire you. Be sure to attach your CV and a recent photograph and send applications to ross(at)weezat(dot)com. We’ll be announcing the Weezat Ambassadors on our blog in early 2010.

Well, the site’s only been up and running for a week and already we have our first venue on board. We met up with The Paternoster’s Manager, Rachel Tulloch, earlier today and showed her round the site before adding some of The Paternoster’s upcoming events to the site. Now all we need to do is get some members using Weezat… ahem. Still, it’s good progress and we expect many more pubs and bars to sign up over the next couple of months. Well, it’s been many months in the making but Weezat is now up and running for beta testing. There are a few (ok, a lot) of bugs on the site at the moment but we’re working through them as quickly as possible. If you’d like to give any feedback, good or bad, please click the feedback tab that’s on every page of the site.

It’s been a while since our last post but that’s because we’ve been working mega hard to get the site up and running and low and behold, we’re almost there. The site’s currently being switched over to www. as we speak and should be completed soon(ish). Once we’re live we’re going to need lots of help getting us up and running and there will no doubt be a few bugs here and there while we settle in to being a proper website.
